Block 10/11

Moscow

Description

The identity of the cluster has been developed in close cooperation with the client discussing modern avant-garde and contemporary popular culture and is inspired by the ‘layering’ of cloth in avant-garde costumes and contemporary fashion. The facades of the buildings are layered in different planes which create a building contour in the shape of a saw. As a result, all apartments in the building have a corner in which the short side and the long-side of the saw-tooth come together and natural light is plentiful. The constructive lay-out of the buildings is shaped in a fish-bone pattern, which renders a unique spatial quality in the hallways.
