<\/a><\/p>\nWhen the shooting of \u2018La Holandesa\u2019 finished, Paul de Vroom joined Jet Christiaanse in order to explore the unrivaled architecture of Chile.\u00a0Chile is a byword for overwhelming nature to all but some architecture addicts. Paul is one of them, Jet witnessed that he even managed to turn the visit to Torres del Paine, Chile\u2019s ultimate nature park, into an architecture excursion.\u00a0Paul\u2019s trip to Chile started with a surprise. By coincidence there were two architects in the crew of \u2018La Holandesa\u2019. One of them arranged a meeting with Juan Jos\u00e9 Ugarte, director of the UC Innovation Center, innovation in Wood and Felipe Victorero, Head of integral engineering section in sustainable construction and their staff of researchers. The UC Center is housed in one of the most beautiful buildings of Chile, designed by Alejandro Aravena (Elemental). It forms part of the Pontificia Universidad C\u00e1tolica de Chile which is located in Santiago. While admiring this astonishing building Paul was directed to a meeting room where, to his surprise, our website was displayed full screen. By means of images of our work a lively dialogue ensued that was far more rewarding than the one-way formula of a lecture.<\/p>\n
