The first news-item, put on the Blog is: ‘Studio Paul de Vroom is up an running!’

This is totally true. The studio had to be ready to function immediately in order to serve long-time clients of Paul de Vroom who expected ‘business to continue as usual’.

At first, improvisation ruled in the new workspace. Together we managed to get the studio operational within a day! After that, we gradually improved working conditions with better equipment and basic facilities. Until that fatal first friday in october when an incredibly heavy shower burst out. Taking the first morning coffee in the pantry Paul de Vroom saw the rain pouring along the inside of the windows. It seemed that the ongoing refurbishing of the building had taken a wrong turn. The flooding happened simultaneously on four floors, the offce floor was the worst off, because water was coming in not only from the floor but also from the ceiling, dripping on computers. We managed to evacuate, to dry our equipment and continue work, again improvising. This week the agony finally ends with a restored work floor. Now we can truly operate from the nicest space we can imagine!
